Building fantastic ultra low-energy homes

The naked house team has extensive experience gleaned from involvement in many Passivhaus projects. Some examples of naked house projects can be seen below.

Hove - a spectacular Passivhaus to enjoy the views

Architectural designer: Jim Miller Design

Preliminary demolition of the old house started on site in August 2016. The naked house is arrived on site in April 2017 and main timber building fabric assembly was completed by early June.

Edgmond - a new Passivhaus with a family focus

Architect & Client: Jonathan Chadwick

A new family home for the Chadwick family. The naked house was completed in November 2016.

East Dulwich: a challenging site with 4 high end houses

Architects: Foster Lomas

Developers: FWD Properties

Driven by the desire to create high quality homes with exceptionally low energy consumption for the discerning London market, the naked house approach was chosen to reduce site time and guarantee the accuracy of construction.

Coddenham, Suffolk: a stunning site for a detached annexe

Architects: Free Spirit Architectural Design & Conservation

Client: Private clients

A new large annexe for an ancient Suffolk Farmhouse, obtaining planning was a challenge, with the design having to fit neatly into the surrounding landscape. Despite this, we have been able to upgrade the building performance to Passivhaus standard and the owners are looking forward to a retirement with ultra-low energy bills. Groundworks began on site in October 2015. This building fabric was completed before Christmas and the clients moved in at the end of February 2016.
